ABOUT ME

I am a Product Design Lead with extensive experience in both executing and overseeing the development of high-quality, market-ready designs from concept through to production. My portfolio ranges from products and illustration to immersive designs, all created with an emphasis on creativity, functionality. I approach each project with a balance of imagination and technical precision, ensuring every outcome is both visually compelling and commercially viable.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated adaptability by working across a broad range of styles, materials, and manufacturing processes. This versatility enables me to respond effectively to diverse project requirements, while meeting budgetary, technical, and timeline constraints. I have also delivered extensive work for OEM and licensing partners, including LFC, English Heritage, London Zoo (ZSL), the London Science Museum, and London Transport, among many others. Through this experience, I have developed a strong understanding of collaborative workflows, approval systems, and brand governance required when working with licensees. I am highly familiar with how contractual requirements and brand guidelines directly influence design development and final product outcomes, ensuring compliance while maintaining creative integrity.

In addition to my design expertise, I have led and managed creative teams, overseeing project lifecycles from initial briefing to final delivery. My experience includes project management, line management, and guiding teams to achieve high standards under tight deadlines.

Product Lead

BigJigs Toys

2023-Present

  • Designed over 200+ products  

  • Led the product design department at Bigjigs Toys.

  • Directed product development to produce large own brand ranges each year, as well as an extensive portfolio of OEM products.

  • Worked closely with external clients. External client list includes London Transport, John Lewis, Liverpool Football Club, Pottery Barn Kids, English Heritage and many more.

  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle for all annual launches, from concept through to production, collaborating closely with company founders, directors, and the product team.

  • Coordinate cross-departmental workflows, ensuring photography, marketing, and packaging teams operate seamlessly to deliver products to market on time and to specification.

  • Project manage departmental workload and line manage staff, conducting regular 1-1 check-ins, training sessions, and performance reviews to support team development and efficiency.

  • Deliver individual design projects from initial ideation to final production, balancing leadership duties with a hands-on creative workload.

  • Produce detailed technical drawings and prototypes, liaising with factories to confirm the feasibility and quality of designs prior to manufacturing.

  • Create original product illustrations, incorporating playful, contemporary artwork.

  • Oversee packaging design and fitments, ensuring products are securely and safely housed during transit.

  • Work closely with compliance teams to guarantee all products meet relevant safety standards across multiple global markets, including EN71 and ASTM regulations.

Product Designer and Developer

Sculpd

 2021-2023

  • Independently created a new sub brand of Sculpd – Sculpd Kids. Established a new brand package. 

  • Led product development at all stages of the products life cycle - ideation, design, development, prototypes, print material and launch. 

  • Responsible for budgeting material costs for each product and liaising with factories to meet target pricing without compromising on design or quality.

  • Designed and developed bespoke components for Sculpd Kids kits, including custom flat-pack mosaic boxes and a 53-piece laser-cut model rocket.

  • Designed children's crafts products including rocket kits, pottery, painting and mosaic sets and bespoke tools. 

  • Designed engaging packaging with secret panels, pull-out windows and pop up compartments. 

  • Designed all Sculpd Kids graphic design work including packaging artwork and instructional guidebooks. 

  • Worked directly with childhood educators and developmental specialists, particularly STEM and Montessori specialists. I have a well-rounded knowledge of the principles these learning styles entail and designed many activities in accordance. 

  • Undertook in depth research and development inclusive of customer product testing workshops

  • Created an online content hub inclusive of video tutorials, inspo galleries, immersive playlists, conversation prompts and a development guide. 

  • Worked closely with internal department. Briefed creatives filmed content such as advert and tutorial video curation.​​

  • Directed the end-to-end development of 21 themed subscription boxes, overseeing all stages from ideation to launch.

  • Presented product concepts through trend analysis, mood boards, and prototypes

  • Communicated with Chinese manufactures to achieve a components list for a target price.

  • Adapted illustration style each month to create unique, print-ready artwork and packaging for commercial production, ensuring each theme had a distinct visual identity.

  • Designed and produced games, themed activities, and craft projects tailored to each monthly theme. 

  • Collaborated across design, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, on-brand products.

  • Conducted research to ensure all content was factually accurate and culturally sensitive to the chosen theme.

  • Designed custom products including candle moulds, buildable windchimes, frisbees, and origami birds.

  • Developed concepts that balanced creativity, functionality, budget and trend relevance.

Immersive Event Designer

Immersive Cult

  • Contributed to the design of immersive themed events and pop-up spaces, including sets, props, costumes, lighting, and catering.

  • Designed bespoke 3D props and partnered with craft makers to realise concepts with high attention to detail.

  • Managed sourcing of materials, entertainment, catering, and venues across budgets.

  • Created large-scale graphics and detailed print materials under tight deadlines, including vinyl wraps, signage, and menus.

  • Supported installation days, coordinating teams and ensuring smooth on-site execution.

  • Worked closely with clients to translate briefs into impactful, experience-led design solutions.​

  • Produced, floorplans and visual mock-ups to communicate design intent clearly to fabricators, suppliers, and stakeholders.

  • Researched themes, visual references, and user experience trends to inform concept development and ensure cohesive storytelling across all touchpoints.

Digital Creative

Kent County Council

2018-2019

  • Created social media graphic assets for Kent County Council’s Darent Valley Partnership, a conservation initiative focused on preserving the natural environment along the Kent–London boundary.

  • Designed print materials including leaflets, guidebooks, and posters to promote events, trails, and conservation messaging.

  • Produced large-scale graphic installations for festivals and public fairs across the Darent Valley to engage local communities and raise environmental awareness.

  • Developed branding guidelines and visual identity elements to ensure design consistency across all Darent Valley communications.

  • Collaborated with local artists, community groups, and event organizers to co-create visuals that reflected the cultural and ecological character of the region.

  • Prepared artwork for print and liaised with external printers and fabricators to ensure high-quality production and installation of graphic materials.
